Learning Objectives

At St Andrew’s, the School seeks the following learning objectives in the Secondary School (Years 7 to 12):

  • The School will function as a community of learners where learning is seen as a life-long process where students will always strive to achieve their highest academic potential.
  • The core curriculum will lead to develop age-appropriate skills, concepts and critical thinking.
  • Students are encouraged to explore individual areas of interest through appropriate projects and experiences.
  • Use of technology to facilitate learning and communication.
  • Understand individual learning styles and employ appropriate learning strategies to develop students’ talents and interests through cocurricular activities.
  • Use the City’s resources to enrich the curriculum and develop learning concepts beyond the classroom.
  • Create individual responsibility for learning and actions based on civility and self-discipline.
  • Foster social responsibility through service to others and community support projects.
  • Create patterns of daily living consistent with the School’s Christian values and ethos.
