Year 12 Visual Arts
St Andrew's is a school founded on the creative arts and has built up an extraordinary culture of creative expression.
The final year offers many opportunities for HSC students to explore and enrich their own creativity. Many students chose to create major projects across many of the creative arts subjects. In Visual Arts, students devoted hours to developing their skills in the production of a 'Body of Work', a series of artworks which explores a particular theme or medium.
We celebrate their completed HSC ‘Body of Works’ at a Creative Arts Evening. Many remarked on the vast range of artworks, subject our students expressed and countless hours of dedication and creative fervour.
Last year we were delighted that two students were nomination for ArtExpress. Timon Langford created a remarkable series of drawings and photographic images called “Leaving the Asylum: 1978” which commented on changes to Mental Heath policies in N.S.W. Jackon Milas develop an evocative series of haunting photographic images called “In the twilight I see”. His works explore that moment of transition from day into night.
Thank you to all those who supported our Visual Arts students during their final year.
