Academic Excellence

St Andrew’s Cathedral School is a highly regarded coeducational school in Sydney city centre.  Each year many of our students achieve outstanding results in the Higher School Certificate (HSC) and International Baccalaureate (IB). As a fully comprehensive school, St Andrew’s differentiates teaching practices to accommodate students with a broad range of interests and abilities.

Since 1885, as an Independent Anglican School, St Andrew’s has occupied a unique place in the life of the City of Sydney through its educational quality, Christian ethos and student learning practices. 

The School offers a purposeful and creative learning environment for all students based on its central city location and its holistic approach to education through a comprehensive academic curriculum.

Our performance in public examinations including NAPLAN tests, the School Certificate, HSC and IB suggests an atmosphere of highly accomplished learning and teaching. Students at St Andrew’s overwhelmingly progress onto tertiary education at the conclusion of Year 12.
