Academic Results


At St Andrew's, the learning process is a journey of continued evolution, culminating in the HSC and IB. We aim to nurture each student in developing their academic strengths, an inclusive programme that has seen us recieve outstanding results in the Year 10 School Certificate, HSC and IB.

Highlights of our 2011 results include:

HSC  

  • Number of Band 6 results: 151
  • Dux of HSC: Holly McMath with 98.70
  • 9th in State: Aydin Hibbert in Software Design and Development
  • Equal 15th in state: Emma Rosewarne in General Mathematics with 98%
  • 50/50 in Music Extension: Youngsu Kim
  • 49/50 in Music Extension: Manasseh Oshiro
  • 49/50 in Extension 2 English: Alex Chalwell, Harry Goddard, Bre Graham and
    Monique Ross

Special mentions:

  • Accepted into Encore: Manasseh Oshiro, Holly McMath
  • Accepted into Onstage: Bre Graham
  • Accepted into ArtExpress: William Clarke, Peter Fulker

IB

  • Number of Grade 7s: 15
  • Number of A's for the 4000 word Extended Essays: 3

Special Mentions:

  • Dux: Meredith Grey with 43 (99.55, Dux of School and IB)
  • Second place: Sarah Long with 42 (99.20)

 

Year 10 School Certificate

  • Number of Band 6 Results: 75
  • Number of students in top two bands for English and Literacy: 59.44%
  • Number of students in top two bands for Science: 45.55%
  • Number of students in top two bands for Mathematics: 39%

Special Mentions

  • 98% in Mathematics and Computing SkillsKevin Xia scored 98% in Mathematics and Computing Skills
