Meet the Chaplaincy Team
The role of the Chaplaincy team is to provide a strong network of care and support for all students at St Andrew’s. Through a wealth of programmes spanning Christian Development classes, Chapel Services, Crusader groups, voluntary camps and charity work with inner city churches and volunteer groups, St Andrew’s students are encouraged by our Chaplaincy team to be continually leading a life with heart.
Our team:
The Reverend Craig Foster is the Senior Chaplain of St Andrew’s Cathedral School. He is responsible for overseeing all Christian Ministry programmes from K-12.
Mr Garth Hasler has been Assistant Chaplain at SACS since 2008. He works primarily with Middle School students and Stage 2 and 3 Junior School students.
Mr Joshua Apieczonek is also an Assistant Chaplain at SACS. He has worked as a pastor at the Cathedral evening service for the past 6 years and works as an Assistant Chaplain at SACS. He mainly works with our Senior College students in Years 10-12.
Mrs Edwina Scott is Assistant Chaplain to girls at the school. Previously a Science teacher at SACS, she teaches from Stage 2 in the Junior School through to Year 12, but primarily looks after Middle School girls in a more pastoral capacity.
Mrs Emma Argall develops and manages Christian Development as a subject at SACS. A former teacher in the English department, she now works with students in the Senior College.
Each year we also have a small group of Christian Ministry trainees who are in Year 13 or interested in Schools’ Christian Ministry. They are part of a specifically designed Alex Abbottsmith Scholarship and work in ministries across K-12. The Year 13 students also attend the Year 13 Anglican Youthworks programme.
