Phillip Heath Scholarship

This Scholarship was established to assist with a full or part scholarship, for a worthy student who would not otherwise be able to attend St Andrew’s Cathedral School because of financial hardship. The recipient of the Scholarship will be determined by the Head of School in consultation with senior staff. Generally the identity of the recipient remains anonymous.

In addition to proven financial hardship, the applicant would need to demonstrate a commitment to the School through strong leadership in one or more of the following areas:
  • Academic achievement
  • Co-curricular involvement
  • Demonstrated leadership with peers and other students
  • Contribution to the School through community service.
Special family circumstances may also be considered.

Scholarship Amount and Duration of the Award

The size of the Scholarship awarded and number of awards given would be determined in part by the funds available. Duration of the Scholarship will be reviewed annually in line with the School’s normal Scholarship review process.

About the Fund

The Phillip Heath Scholarship Fund is funded through the generosity of parent, past parents and students who support the fund. We also wish to acknowledge the significant donation of the Association of Parents and Friends in 2009. This fund not only celebrates the legacy of Mr Phillip Heath (Head of School 1995-2009) but it has been founded and funded by parents and friends of the School, thereby creating a truly lasting community spirited gift to St Andrew’s.
