SACS Community

The St Andrew’s Cathedral School community is a close-knit network connecting current students, staff, parents, alumni and other members of the surrounding business, cultural and church communities of Sydney.

The Association of Parents and Friends is a vibrant group of parents and guardians who are committed to building a strong school community and to raising ancillary funds to support our school and students. Through the Parents and Friends, Year Convenors also form informal groups within specific year groups to provide opportunities for our parents to meet and get to know one other.  This is vital as our students and their families come to St Andrew’s from over 200 suburbs of Sydney.

The School Foundation is also focussed on developing community through a range of projects to support St Andrew’s. The Gifts of the Heart programme encompasses fundraising for scholarships, including Gawura (the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander programme) and the Phillip Heath Scholarship Fund, as well as capital campaigns and contributions to the School’s Building Fund.

Our alumni is represented by the Old Andrean’s Association which works actively to build connections between the school and our former students. The OAA also supports fundraising initiatives including the Phillip Heath Scholarship Fund, and the Kundayi Chiundiza School Fund, a student-driven project to build a school in Zimbabwe in honour of a former student.
