What We Offer

Holistic Education

St Andrew’s Cathedral School is an independent Anglican School with a holistic approach to education. We offer a wide range of curricular and co-curricular opportunities that enable our students to grow intellectually, socio-emotionally and develop their interests in a variety of subjects including sport, performing arts and music.

A Preparation for Life Beyond School

Authentic Christian values underpin all facets of school life. There is a culture of care that encourages each individual to reach a healthy equilibrium and make the most of the many opportunities here, with a view to successfully preparing them for life beyond school.

A Diverse and Welcoming Community

Whilst city based, St Andrew’s community is diverse in nature, with students hailing from over 200 suburbs in Sydney. Independent research conducted with our Senior College students showed that many senior students find St Andrew’s to be a place that feels like home, inclusive and accepting of difference.

Academic Excellence

We believe it is important to ensure that the needs of all our students are effectively catered for academically, by offering a wide variety of subjects and extensive support and growth mechanisms, as well as a choice between the Higher School Certificate and the International Baccalaureate as their graduating certificate. The school also offers a number of enrichment programmes that nurture the learning environment of all our students whether they require help in a particular area or provide stimulation for the gifted and talented.

Decision making is essential to growing up, so student choice at St Andrew’s is very important and we aim to guide them through these processes from an early age, gradually allowing them greater choices as the school years progress.
