St Andrew’s Cathedral School

Into the future

St Andrew's Cathedral School has made remarkable progress since its humble beginning in 1885 often in the face of daunting challenges and operating obstacles. In 2008 over 1,200 students enjoy quality educational standards and excellent sporting, music and ancillary programmes. St Andrew's is ideally positioned to prepare young men and women for life and learning challenges in the future.

Within an education environment that is constantly changing, St Andrew's will steadfastly adhere to the Christian principles which underpin its existence and on which the School will always place its faith. The School motto - Via Crucis Via Lucis - the Way of the Cross is the Way of Light - is as relevant for young men and women in Australia's modern 21st century society as it was at the end of the 19th century.
