St Andrew’s Cathedral School

Robert Cameron

Robert has been involved in Christian ministry for most of his life, in both ‘voluntary’ and ‘vocational’ capacities. After attending the University of Sydney he undertook theological studies at Moore College in the early 1980s. During and after these studies he worked in parish youth ministry as well as overseeing the youth activities of the Church Missionary Society in NSW. Subsequent to this he was employed by the MLC Group, where he was responsible for the management of their client database.

In 1994 Robert undertook further study at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (Deerfield, Illinois) where he completed an MA in New Testament. He returned to parish ministry in Sydney in 1996, serving in the parishes of Hoxton Park and Killara. At the beginning of 2008 he took up an appointment as Rector of the parish of Willoughby East.

Robert is married to Fiona, and they have four children, two of whom currently attend St Andrew’s.

He loves good coffee, movies, and music – especially playing piano and singing.
