St Andrew’s Cathedral School

Senior College

The Senior College comprises 600 students in Years 10 to 12 with approximately 200 students in each year. Students undertake a special stage in their educational development as they prepare to leave school and progress into tertiary study or employment. To facilitate this transition the School's coeducational environment enables young men and women to better focus on life and learning choices.

The change to coeducation in Year 10 also creates a distinctive 'rite of passage' for students as they 'graduate' into their senior years. They gain insight into the Year 12 work ethic before they are required to embrace it. There is a freshness, a sense of vibrancy and a dynamism in students' attitudes to learning, leadership and responsibility which is injected into School life during the coeducational Senior College experience.

The Senior College sets benchmark standards in educational outcomes to maximise students' results in the Higher School Certificate.

Students are located in the Bishop Barry Centre at Druitt Street.
