Counselling
The counselling service at St Andrew’s Cathedral School consists of two counsellors, Maria Calandra and Deborah Blackwell. Maria Calandra mainly assists Senior College students whilst Deborah Blackwell assists students in the Junior and Middle School.
The counselling service can be accessed by all students and parents for any issues / concerns relating to a student’s wellbeing. This service is confidential and duty of care issues are discussed in the initial interview.
Referrals can be made in a number of different ways:

Students may directly contact the Counsellor at School to make an appointment:
- Deborah Blackwell located on level 6 of the SAH building
- Maria Calandra located on level 2 of the BBC building
Students / Parents may wish to discuss the issue and make a referral through the student’s Tutor, Head of House or Year Coordinator.
Referrals in the Junior School are made in consultation with the Head of Junior School.
