Introduction to Student Services
As a natural progression to the pastoral care system at St Andrew's Cathedral School a new area has been developed. Student Services, located on Level 3 BBC, caters for the needs of students outside the classroom.
It can be seen as a 'sorting house' for student needs and offers support in a variety of directions. Student Service encompasses the House system, the ILC and Special Provisions, Careers, School Counselling, International Students Group, the Health Centre and a strong Community Service programme.
A new ‘timeout’ area is also located in the Student Services area on Level 3 BBC. This is a space where students can ‘get away’ when life becomes too stressful for one reason or another. It is also an area where students can be referred to the ILC/School Counsellor as appropriate.
