Gifted & Talented and Scholarship Information Evening – Parent talk for Years K – 10

Hear from educational experts on how you can best support your gifted child
St Andrew’s is committed to supporting all students across a range of learning abilities. Our aim is to ensure all students have equal opportunities to learn and experience success in learning. Our Gifted and Talented Education Program is a challenging program designed to target students whose academic learning needs differ significantly enough to warrant a differentiated approach to learning.
This parent talk provides information and resources for parents of children who may fall into this category of learner. Come along and find out more about how to support these unique learners.
The evening commences with a special guest speaker covering the latest research into G&T programming. Following the presentation, our Director of Primary Education Mrs Rhonda Robson will chair a panel discussion with specialist learning development staff on how St Andrew’s approaches this area of special education. The panel will also discuss academic and music scholarship opportunities at St Andrew’s.
The discussion will cover students from Kindergarten up to Year 10.
Parents and educators from all schools are welcome to attend this information evening.

A fun and interactive evening for the whole family!
Join in the fun of our Explore Year 7 event, where families can explore our unique Middle School campus, get involved in taster classes and gain an insight into what makes our Middle School program so exciting. On the evening you will:
- Listen to keynote speakers and information sessions;
- Experience fun demonstrations and interactive workshops;
- Speak with specialty staff and community representatives who will be available to answer your questions; and
- Enjoy entertainment and a sausage sizzle on our famous Rooftop Playground.

Discover a world of opportunities
The IB Diploma offers students a broad range of learning skills and subject areas, providing a truly international curriculum that is taught in 150 countries worldwide.
On this evening you will hear from students and staff about managing study schedules, subject choices, post-school options and what it means to be part of a global community of learners.
The evening commences with a welcome from our Head of School, Dr Collier, followed by presentations from our Director of Learning, Mrs Sharon Munro, and past and current IB Diploma students. Guest speakers will also provide insights into the IB Diploma journey in Years 11 and 12.
It is anticipated that this evening will conclude by 6.30pm.
