Event schedule:

  • School tour (optional) – 5.15pm
    Meet in St Andrew’s Cathedral School Foyer
  • Information Session – 6.10pm
    Meet our Head of Junior School and have all your questions answered by our panel of educators (Rhonda Robson, Head of Junior School and Primary Education, Kate Robertson, Junior School Music Coordinator, Selwyn Wu, Learning Technologies, Bruce Perry, Registrar

There will be a supervised Kids Club available on the evening.

If you are seeking 2020 or Year 7, 2021 enrolment, please contact us immediately for space availability.

Commencing with an opportunity to meet our Head of School, Dr Collier, this full school tour includes a presentation by key Executive staff and a tour of our Junior School, Middle School and Senior College campuses. During your visit you will view our specialist facilities including music, science and outdoor spaces. You will also have the opportunity to meet staff and student representatives and see the school in action on a regular school day.

It is anticipated that the tour will conclude by 10.30am.

G&T and Scholarship Info Evening 6/5

St Andrew’s is committed to supporting all students across a range of learning abilities. Our aim is to ensure all students have equal opportunities to learn and experience success in learning. Our Gifted and Talented Education Program is a challenging program designed to target students whose academic learning needs differ significantly enough to warrant a differentiated approach to learning.

Our annual Gifted & Talented and Scholarship Information Evening on Wednesday 6 May provides information and resources for parents of children who may fall into this category of learner. Come along and find out more about how to support these unique learners.

On the evening there will be a presentation by a special Guest speaker and Mrs Rhonda Robson, Deputy Head and Head of Junior School will chair a panel discussion with specialist learning development staff on how St Andrew’s approaches this area of special education. The panel will also discuss academic and music scholarship opportunities at St Andrew’s Cathedral School.

The discussion will cover students from Kindergarten to Year 10.

Parents and educators from all schools are welcome to attend this information evening.

It is anticipated that this event will conclude by 7.30pm.

If you are seeking Year 7, 2021 enrolment, please contact us immediately for space availability.

Join in the fun of Explore Year 7 where you can explore our unique Middle School campus, get involved in taster classes and gain insight into what makes our Middle School program so exciting. On the evening you will:

  • Listen to keynote speakers and information sessions;
  • Experience fun demonstrations and interactive workshops;
  • Speak with specialty staff and community representatives who will be available to answer your questions; and
  • Enjoy entertainment and a sausage sizzle on our famous Rooftop Playground.

 It is anticipated that this evening will conclude by 8.00pm

Kindergarten School Readiness Talk

Join our Junior School staff for this informative talk with education experts about the recent research regarding school readiness.

On the evening you will have the opportunity to:

  • Find out what the school readiness indicators are:
  • What preparations you can make at home to support your child’s transition to school;
  • Talk to Kindergarten teachers to find out what happens during a regular school day;
  • Listen to experts, hear the latest research on what to do to give your child the best advantage to start their education; and
  • Learn the questions to ask your new school to determine which school is the right school for your child.

Presentation by:

Mrs Rhonda Robson
Head of Junior School, St Andrews Cathedral School

Mrs Robson is a leading educationalist who has lectured in both Child Development and Educational Psychology and has post graduate qualifications in Counselling Psychology as well as Gifted and Talented Education. Together with our experienced Kindergarten teachers, Mrs Robson will discuss important topics from how to tell if your child is ready for school to preparing your child for school.
