Phillip Heath Scholarship Fund
The Phillip Scholarship Fund was established in honour of Mr Phillip Heath's significant contribution as Head of St Andrew's Cathedral School from 1995 - 2009. It was founded by parents of the school, Simon and Julie Gandevia. The fund has been strongly supported by students, the SACS Association of Parents and Friends and the Old Andrean's Association, which reflects the deep sense of community at SACS. The Phillip Heath Scholarship Fund aims to provide short-term fees support to families of existing students at St Andrew's Cathedral School, who experience unforeseen financial difficulties such as: the death of a parent; long-term illness of a family member; a change in employment situation or family break up. The scholarship is awarded at the discretion of the Head of School for a period of up to one year and will be reviewed at least annually. The amount and number will be limited to the availability of funds. Students who are awarded the scholarship will: display a real desire to continue their education at SACS; embrace what SACS has to offer; positively contribute to the life and ethos of the school; and be unable to continue their education at SACS without the scholarship.
