The StartUp Finale for 2020 is being streamed live for our community on Tuesday 4 August from 6pm. The event will see our student innovators, problem solvers and entrepreneurial thinkers present their solutions to some of the issues of connection in a COVID-19 world.
In the impressive multi-studio live broadcast from St Andrew’s Cathedral School, we’ll hear three finalist teams pitch their ideas in the ‘shark tank’ to expert judges James O’Loghlin, Tania Price and Michelle Long, as well as hearing elevator pitches from every team. Students will pitch their business ideas that address cultural heritage, environmental sustainability, inter-cultural understanding, and more.
The evening will be compered by industrial designer and Old Andrean (2014) Alex Watson, who will guide audiences through the evening and speak with each team about their design thinking process, final pitch and hopes for the future.
Thirteen teams, from across Year 5 to Year 12, have spent the last six weeks working online with industry mentors to turn their ideas into a business reality.
Audiences will hear every pitch and have a chance to vote for who they think should win the People’s Choice Award, and then find out who will be deemed Entrepreneur of the Year! You don’t want to miss this.
