Our Kindergarten to Year 6 sport programme focuses on the development of fundamental movement skills. It progressively builds skills, utilising various facilities in the School and city for both summer and winter sport. \ufeff<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Our Kindergarten to Year 2 students participate in gymnastics and swimming, providing foundational skills that will serve them well in future physical activities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are part of ASISSA (an inter-school sporting association) for students in Years 4 to 6 to compete against other schools on a weekly basis, on Thursday afternoons, in seasonal sports. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through our inter-school sports programme, students also learn valuable life skills, such as resilience, teamwork and humility, in a safe and supportive environment.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have a fine reputation for sporting success and attitude, which is reflected in each student\u2019s skill development, enthusiasm, encouragement of others, and conduct. All sports, competitive and non-competitive, are fully supervised throughout the afternoon. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students also have the option of participating in non-competitive sports, during Thursday afternoon sport time. These sports are designed to build skills and confidence and support students developing the core skills of a wide range of sports played at St Andrew’s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We also have three major carnivals throughout the year. All students (Years 3 to 6) are expected to participate at the School\u2019s swimming, cross country and athletics carnivals. There are opportunities for students to move on to representative carnivals and compete at state and even national levels, as so many have.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
