We have a holistic view of student wellbeing. Our approach integrates character development and service with a strong curriculum, including high expectations of students learning, student leadership opportunities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our Middle School is a welcoming, warm community. Our school culture encourages genuine relationships between students, staff and parents. We foster an environment where students are comfortable, secure and able to flourish during these important teenage years.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Our students engage with the School<\/a>‘<\/a>s<\/a> <\/a>1<\/a>5<\/a> Character Strengths<\/a> throughout Year 7 to 12 in many varied and intentional ways. Character education equips our young people to grow in wisdom, hope, community and dignity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dedicated School Counsellors work in partnership with our pastoral team to support student wellbeing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Middle School tutor groups<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Each student in the School belongs to a tutorial group, led by a member of the teaching staff. As students move through Middle School they remain in the same group. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The tutorial programme incorporates wellbeing, study skills, social and community education, leadership and wellbeing activities. These sessions are age-appropriate and tailored for the experience and knowledge of the students at their various levels of development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The House System<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In addition to year-based tutor groups, students at St Andrew\u2019s Cathedral School belong to a House and wear the appropriate badge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This enables students to participate in and contribute to a comprehensive range of activities. Students are awarded House points for both participation and success in the Swimming and Athletics Carnivals and other House activities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
