The International Baccalaureate Diploma class of 2018, our largest cohort to date, has achieved strong results and performed well across all subjects. This is highlighted by 32 of the 57 students (56 per cent) achieving scores over 33, which converts to an ATAR (university admissions rank) of 90 and over. Six of these students achieved an IB score of 40 or over (out of 45), that is, an ATAR of 98.25 and above. The cohort achieved 39 Grade 7s (the maximum grade) and 17 Grade As for the Extended Essay and Theory of Knowledge.
Below is a summary of all SACS students who achieved a Diploma score of 30 or more in the January 2019 IB Diploma results. These students chose the IB Diploma instead of the NSW HSC for Years 11 and 12. Where no names are indicated against scores, those students could not be contacted for permission to publish their results or preferred the results remain confidential.
The joint duxes for 2018 at SACS are Luisa Bartsch, Elly England and Jacqueline Gazal, who all achieved an IB Diploma mark of 42 (out of 45), which converts to an ATAR of 99.4.
