Visual arts students benefit from gallery’s proximity

May 3, 2019

One of the benefits of our amazing city school is that students and teachers can walk to venues for an excursion that is a whole day trip (and added expense) for many other schools.

In April, our Year 9 and 10 Visual Arts Elective students walked to and from the Art Gallery of New South Wales to visit two exhibitions: Art Express 2018 and The National 2019. On the way to the Gallery, the students also stopped at the Archibald Memorial Fountain in Hyde Park (see photo below) to do some figurative sketching.
