Chinese Extension, German Extension, French Continuers, German Continuers, Italian Beginners, Italian Continuers, Spanish Extension, Italian Extension, English Extension 1, Science Extension<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2025, 42 per cent of the graduating cohort across HSC and IBDP achieved an ATAR (Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank) over 90 (that is, in the top 10 per cent in NSW). Our students across both credentials have managed to achieve at very high levels in a large variety of subjects, which points to the excellence of our passionate and dedicated teaching staff, who go to extraordinary lengths to ensure students have every opportunity to excel and reach their potential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also in 2025, our Year 12 HSC cohort broke St Andrew\u2019s Cathedral School\u2019s record for the number of students to be nominated for HSC Showcases!&nbsp;<strong>Thirty-five<\/strong>&nbsp;of our students\u2019 major projects have been recognised by the NSW Education Standards Authority, with <strong>three <\/strong>of those selected for inclusion in the Showcases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year\u2019s nominations were for a diverse range of work across the arts. Since 2016, all Year 7-10 students undertake the MYP. In 2025, the average ATAR of the top 10 per cent of our IB Diploma students was 99.17.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Higher School Certificate<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Each year, around 60-70 per cent of our Year 11 students choose to study the NSW Higher School Certificate as their graduate credential in Year 12. Our students are fortunate to have a large breadth of subject choices offered when undertaking the HSC. The 2025 Year 12 HSC cohort performed the best in our history: the average ATAR for the top 10 per cent of HSC students was 97.8 and 70 per cent of HSC scores were 5s and 6s (top two performance bands).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Reporting&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>St Andrew\u2019s Cathedral School has three formal methods of reporting on student progress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>They are:&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Academic Reports<\/em> \u2013 provide a comprehensive summary of student progress. These are issued towards the end of Terms 2 and 4 for Year 7 to 10, Year 11 in Terms 2 and 3. Year 12 students receive these reports towards the end of Terms 1 and 3.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Parent\/Teacher interviews<\/em> \u2013 held at various times throughout the year for each year level \u2013 provide an opportunity for parents to meet with individual teachers to discuss their child\u2019s progress.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Weekly Parent Digest<\/em> \u2013 emailed to students and their parents every Friday afternoon and gives a brief summary of student progress and involvement.
