Easel-y impressed!
In August, we invited the School community to view our Year 12 HSC Visual Arts body of work. Marking is now officially complete and nominations are to be announced, watch this space.
Our students work incorporates a wide range of expressive forms – including printmaking, painting, photo digital media, textiles and fibre, drawing, sculpture and graphic design.
One of the inspiring works was by Evander Blakey (Year 12). His photography study, ‘Project Oblivious’, aimed to challenge our everyday perception of the world around us.
“Where others may simply see a train station, tram stand or terminal as a place to walk through, they may not have the time to appreciate the sublime structures they walk past – taking them for granted. Thus, my body of work explores these sublime structures, finding beauty in the mundane,” he said.
Each work is a testament to the creativity and talent of our students and is an excellent resource that inspires younger students to explore their own artistic potential. Their innovation and deep thinking continues to impress. A huge congratulations to all students involved and their wonderful teachers.

Today, we pause to remember. We honour the service and sacrifice of veterans and active service members whose courage in times of conflict has safeguarded the freedoms we enjoy today.
To our Old Andreans who served in the armed forces, we offer our deepest gratitude for your unwavering commitment and bravery.
As we reflect, we are reminded of the call to work towards a more peaceful and just world - a legacy worthy of those who have gone before us.
Lest we forget.“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” – John 15:13
