The Hessians

The Hessian's aim to bring together past parents and friends who wish to maintain contact and interest in the School, beyond their children's attendance.

Because we all come from SACS

Hessian is of course a pun on “Hessian sacks” which are versatile, durable and tough.

Hessian’s aim to bring together past parents and friends who wish to maintain contact and interest in our School.

All parents become Hessians the year their child graduates from school. Long-serving staff members who have left St Andrew’s are also invited to become members.

Hessians can receive a quarterly e-newsletter, aimed at keeping them in touch with The School.

Elevate includes news on school development, direction, alumni and school calendar highlights.

Events include community nights, on the first Friday night of each school musical and play, where Hessians and Old Andreans are invited to come together to attend the performance.

Hessians also continue to support the School by advising students at the career evening Learning the Ropes; being mentors for StartUp; and various other initiatives depending on their interests.
