What are some of the issues women in leadership face? 

Our Head of School Dr Julie McGonigle recently explored such issues with other esteemed panellists at the AIS Women in Leadership conference, all from positions of leadership in schools. “We dived into issues of legacy, time management, vulnerability, language use around gender issues, families and faith,” she said. “We were all very different and have had radically different journeys into leadership - but we are all very unified in our passion for the next generation who will impact the world.” Read the full story here.

Our Head of School, Dr Julie McGonigle (2nd from right) was one of the expert panellists at the recent Women in Leadership conference hosted by the Association of Independent Schools of NSW. The 3 day program was an opportunity for women in education to ask questions, explore the issues and discover pragmatic steps towards growing their own leadership practice.

Kathryn certainly keeps busy as a member of the Support and Operations team – but in addition to that she has written a chapter of a newly published book called, Resilience: Turning Struggle into Strength. She tells the heartfelt story of assisting and advocating for her son through his difficult learning challenges and how that shaped them both and the wider family.

This week, the Support & Operational staff from our School travelled to our Outdoor Education Centre, Kirrikee, in the Southern Highlands of NSW.For most of our staff, this was their first time visiting Kirrikee, where they spent the day collaborating through team-building activities and working together to solve complex challenges.
