Last week we had more than 85 Old Andreans across 50 industries come back to St Andrews to speak about their career journeys with our senior students.
At St Andrew’s Cathedral School, we’re blessed to never be far from inspiration. Case in point – our Head of Library (7-12) and IB EE Coordinator, Kathryn Eyre AALIA, MAICD – who inspired us with her recent presentation at the Australian School Libraries Association’s Conference on the Gold Coast.
A new coaching and mentoring programme has been developed at St Andrew’s Cathedral School, designed to maximise the experience of our new teaching staff. The flexible program acknowledges and celebrates that regardless of experience, all our teachers possess teaching expertise and creativity, and that with the right support and empowerment, they can achieve extraordinary outcomes.

Last night, we were delighted to launch our very first Big Questions seminar exploring Environmental Stewardship from both Aboriginal and scientific perspectives. Pastor Ray Minniecon and Dr Andrew McGonigle shared their knowledge, understanding and different experiences of the world around us, which was followed up by an insightful Q&A with important questions from our audience that led us on a journey to what is possible.

After a busy day teaching Year 3, Mr Jake Heading heads home to begin creating, editing and sharing to “TeacherTok”. Jake has amassed over 10,000 followers on the TikTok platform as a result of his fun and educating videos relating to his day as a teacher and strategies he employs in his classroom.
