On Tuesday, 12 of our Junior School students put their creativity, teamwork and resilience to the test in the inspiring Write a Book in a Day competition.
Working against the clock, our young authors and illustrators spent the day creating an original book from scratch, responding to a unique set of story parameters and bringing their ideas to life in just 12 hours.
More than a writing challenge, Write a Book in a Day raises vital funds for childhood cancer research, while every book submitted is shared with children in hospitals across Australia to brighten their day during treatment.
We are incredibly proud of our students for embracing this challenge with such enthusiasm, imagination and collaboration. We can't wait to see the finished book and celebrate their remarkable achievement.
As Term 2 draws to a close, we proudly celebrated the achievements of our Junior School and Gawura School students at today’s Awards Assembly.
Students were recognised with St Andrew’s Heart Mind Life awards, honouring those who demonstrate kindness and care for others (Heart), curiosity and a love of learning (Mind), and respect and responsibility in everyday school life (Life).
We also celebrated excellence across music, visual arts and science. From leadership and dedication to community spirit and academic success, today’s assembly highlighted the values that make our students truly exceptional.
These awards reflect the hard work, curiosity and enthusiasm that define our School community.
