The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) results for our 2025 cohort were released this morning.
IBDP students study six subjects – three at Higher Level (HL) and three at Standard Level (SL), all of which are graded out of seven and added together to get a score out of 42. They can then receive three additional points for the Extended Essay and Theory of Knowledge courses (called Core Points), making a maximum grade point score of 45.
The magnificent headlines for this cohort are as follows:
- Indigo Parry-Husbands is our IB Dux, attaining a stunning score of 45/45 (equivalent 99.95 ATAR)
- Riley Gordon also achieved an outstanding score of 44/45 (equivalent 99.75 ATAR)
- 27% of the cohort scored 40 or above (equivalent 97 ATAR or above)
- 50% of the cohort scored 38 or above (equivalent 95 ATAR or above)
- 71% of the cohort scored 35 or above (equivalent 90 ATAR or above)
- 29% of the cohort attained perfect core points 3/3
- 37.5 is the median points score (against a world average of 29)
- Median equivalent ATAR is 94
- 65% of the grades were a 6 or 7
- 100% pass rate

These are stunning outcomes and we are delighted for these young people and the possibilities that lie before them for their futures.
Below are the students who attained IBDP scores of 40 or above which equates to an indicative ATAR of 97 or above. It should also be noted that UAC (University Admission Centre) have made the IBDP-ATAR conversion harder each year for the last four years i.e. this year is the hardest it has ever been to achieve above 90, 95 and 99 ATAR. It is also called an ATAR range as tomorrow students receive an IBAS score which slightly nuances their IB score e.g. 45.75 or 45.50 or 45.0 and this then confirms their final ATAR equivalency. Therefore, more information will follow tomorrow.

We have so much to celebrate as a school community. These results are testament to our Director of Learning (Middle School and IB Diploma) Mrs Sharon Munro who superbly leads and supports an exemplary team of IBDP teachers. Also our Deputy Head of School (Secondary) Mr Brad Swibel, Head of Senior College Mr David Lindsay, Deputy Head of Senior College Mrs Sonia Witheridge, Heads of Department, Heads of House, counsellors, tutors, learning coaches and support and administration staff. This is a huge team effort that has taken place over many years.
Finally, many congratulations to our IBDP graduates. These are outstanding IB Diploma results from a composed and steadfast cohort. We could not be prouder of them all. As a year group they met every challenge presented to them with grace, fun and collegiality.
Not only are we proud of their results, but we are even prouder of who they have become, the character they have crafted, the courage they have displayed and the convictions they have held true.
