What people
are saying

I want to share my congratulations to all the staff at SACS for their handling of the COVID crisis. From the principal through to every level, the communication, the level of commitment to our children's learning and also to the families has been a delight to experience, albeit in troubling times. The sense of community, the engagement and cohesive nature in which the entire school operates only validates the decision we made to join SACS in 2020.

Christian Patterson (current parent)

"There are so many things that we are incredibly impressed and thankful for about St Andrew’s Cathedral School – Dr Collier, staff members, departments, support staff, co-curricular programs and events – that have all contributed to eight amazing years for our two boys. It is hard to find a school that suits very different children but St Andrew’s has managed to allow each of our children to explore their interests and find their very different strengths. We feel we have had a great partnership with the school guiding our kids particularly through the teenage years. "

Rebecca Hetherington

"St Andrew's provides a strong pastoral atmosphere that nurtures, guides and supports the growth and development of its students. It is the balance of opportunities provided across academic, physical and artistic endeavours that allows each student to explore their unique interests as they progress towards adulthood. We are extremely happy to have chosen SACS to partner with us in educating both of our very different children."

Nicole Overton

"Since allowing her early Kindy entry, St Andrew’s has always looked at my daughter as a full individual. They have worked with me to decide how best to support her growth and development, both educationally and emotionally, throughout her time in the Junior School. And when she was offered an exciting opportunity outside of school, they celebrated her accomplishment and allowed her to pursue it."

Year 6 parent

"There is a wonderful sense of community that comes from having to share spaces and get along with people. From stepping aside at a lift door, to representing in the busy city square, our kids are learning from everyday experiences. The lessons of inclusiveness, acceptance and respectfulness are invaluable and ultimately create our community at SACS."

Skye Molyneux

"SACS has definitely been a very positive experience. There’s a great focus on
learning because the teachers care about students and they can identify what
each student needs. It’s so helpful having teachers who are willing to look at
essays and work outside of class-time. I haven’t experienced that at other schools.”

– Ethan (Year 12, 2020)

“I find SACS an extremely safe and inclusive community to be in. It has an amazing atmosphere and an overall great environment. SACS offers a range of different co-curricular activities including their main three, drama (plays and musicals), music (many bands and choirs) and sport (different winter and summer sports offered). Most students at SACS take part in at least one of the co-curriculars, and as students, we love seeing our friends grow and improve and come out of their shell. SACS also offers outdoor education, which is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Callista (Year 9, 2021)

“Other schools may have big campuses and fancy old buildings, but other schools don’t have such a strong community filled with the greatest students, staff and opportunities. St Andrew’s Cathedral School focuses on developing students to be the greatest we can be and it is because of these reasons I enjoy going to SACS so much. The teachers at SACS are all very encouraging and understand what the students need and are always willing to help out with problems. They focus on pushing and extending us to achieve things we couldn’t have dreamed of.”
